How to Get Started
Starting ketamine therapy should feel clear and supported from the beginning. At Mind Body Centers, our intake process is designed to help determine whether treatment is a good fit for you while preparing you for what comes next.
From your initial consultation and clinical screening to treatment planning and scheduling, our team will guide you through each step so you know what to expect before your first treatment.
Step 1: Receive welcome emails and text
- Once you call us or fill out a contact form on our website:
- We will send you a welcome email and welcome text.
- (Please check spam and promotions tabs in email if you do not see it in your main inbox).
- We will also send you an email that contains the Initial Intake Form.
- If you would like to get a head start on the intake process, you may start working on the Initial Intake Form as soon as you receive it.
- We will send you a welcome email and welcome text.
Step 2: Free Phone Consultation
- One of our team members will give you call for your free phone consultation.
- We will make every effort to call you the same day you submit your form.
- If you submit a form after business hours, we will give you a call the following business day that we are open.
Step 3: PAI Assessment
- Once you have completed your Initial Intake Form from Step 1 and paid the $125 screening fee from the link provided in your Patient Portal, we will send you the first part of the screening process called the PAI Assessment.
- If you prefer to pay the screening fee over the phone instead of using the payment link, we are happy to assist you with this.
- We will also be sending you a couple very brief forms in your Patient Portal. Two of the forms are administrative. The other forms are specific to what you are seeking treatment for.
Step 4: Free Meeting with Integration Coach
- As part of our intake process, we include a free 20-minute consultation with Yeshua, our integration coach. He’ll introduce you to the optional integration services available, explain the role integration can play alongside treatment, and answer any questions you may have.
Step 5: Medical History Review and/or Psychological Screening
- After your PAI Assessment is completed and you have had your free consultation with Yeshua, one of our team members will reach out to you to schedule the medical and/or psychological screenings.
- The medical history review is done by one of our clinical administrators as a safety measure as well as to help optimize the design of your personalized treatment plan.
- The PAI Assessment and Psychological screening are carefully reviewed by Mind Body Centers’ Medical Director, Mark Murphy, MD. From there, Dr. Murphy and our care team will design your personalized treatment care plan.
Step 6: Schedule your ketamine infusions and prepare for treatment
- Once the screening process is complete and you are approved for treatment, a Patient Liaison will help you schedule your appointments. You’ll receive all of the information you need about the process of ketamine treatment, how to prepare for ketamine therapy, treatment protocols for mental health and chronic pain conditions, and additional support available to Mind Body Centers patients.
